(A) SHRINE
 

The Ashrama shrine remains open for meditation from 5 am to 12 noon and in the evening from 4 pm to 8.30 p.m. during winter and upto 9.00 p.m. during summer months.

o Mangal Arati at 5 a.m. is followed by meditation

o Recital of hymns and chanting of the Bhagavad Gita at 5.45 am.

o Regular worship in the morning from 8:00 am to 9:00 am.

o Arati, reading of scriptural texts and Bhajans in the evening.

o Ramnam Sankirtan on every Ekadashi after evening arati.

o Shyamnam Sankirtan on every Purnima after evening arati.

o Saradanam Sankirtan on every Amavasya after evening arati.

(B) BIRTHDAYS & OTHER FUNCTIONS
 
Birthdays of Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda are celebrated with items such as Vedic chanting, meditation, special Puja, havan, devotional music, discourse and prasada distribution.

Special Puja, devotional music and discourses on Sri Rama Navami, Sri Shankaracharya Jayanti, Buddha Purnima, Sri Guru Purnima, Sri Krishna Janmashtami, Durga Puja, Christmas eve, Guru Nanak Dev Jayanti, Mahashivaratri, Sri Chaitanya Jayanti and on the birthdays of the apostles of Sri Ramakrishna.
 
   
 
 
(C) WEEKLY DISCOURSES FOR PUBLIC
 
 
On Sundays at 5:45 pm: Narada Bhakti Sutras
On Saturdays at 5:45 pm: Uddhav Gita
On Sundays at 10:00 am: Ramacharit Manas

Series of Intensive scriptural classes in summer and winter vacations for devotees interested in serious study.
 
(D) SPIRITUAL RETREAT & 'M' FESTIVITY
 
Four spiritual retreats (Adhyatmika Shivir) every year:

Three half day retreats from 7.30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

One full day retreat, celebrated as the “M-Festivity”.

The retreats include Vedic Chanting, Meditation, Namarchana, devotional songs, discourses, group discussions, questions and answers session and short lectures by devotees on the life and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna etc.
 
(E) ANNUAL COMBINED CELEBRATIONS
 
Annual celebrations are held every year in April.

Public Meetings on the Life and Teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda on three consecutive days.

Programme of Devotional Music.

Special series of discourses or musical recital from scriptures like Srimad Bhagvatam, Ramcharit Manas etc.
 
(F) NATIONAL YOUTH DAY & OTHER PROGRAMMES
 
Swami Vivekananda’s birthday on 12th January is celebrated as National Youth Day with programmes of speeches, recitation of Swamiji’s sayings, devotional and patriotic songs etc. by the students of our Students’ Home.

Another important programme for the youth is the visit by members of the N.S.S. of the Punjab Engineering College to the Ashrama in December as part of their annual camp. They have an interaction with the Secretary and go around the various departments of the Ashrama. The Secretary also visits their camp and addresses them.
 
(G) PREACHING OUTSIDE
 
The Secretary, Swami Brahmeshananda and Swami Janakishananda deliver lectures and discourses in a number of schools, colleges and other institutions in Chandigarh, Panjab and Haryana. Swami Brahmeshananda also visits (on invitation) and delivers lectures in various other provinces of the country.
