(G) VIVEKANANDA STUDENTS’ HOME :
The Vivekananda Students’ Home is meant

(i) to provide students studying in Higher Secondary classes(X, XI, XII classes) right environment for the studies and
(ii) to supplement the academic education with moral, practical and spiritual training and thus help them in their all-round harmonious development. Morning and evening prayers and observance of religious functions etc. contributed towards their development. Indoor and outdoor games also were provided for.

In the Inter school elocution competition conducted on National Youth Day, 12th January 2008 , the Ist prize for the XIth – XIIth class category was bagged by Sukaran Thakur and the 2nd prize by Abhishek Mangla, both students of the Vivekananda Students’ Home.

This year there were 52 students in the Students’ Home of which 2 were full free. The academic results have been uniformly good. Vakul Jindal, a class XI student has won NTSE scholarship this year.

All the students of the Vivekananda Students’ Home also participated in the G.G. Goodwin Memorial Essay Competition sponsored by the Ramakrishna Mission Head Quarters. Anupam Dev Goyal and Mohit Goyal begged the first prize, Anish Goyal and Karanbeen Singh Rana the second prize and Abhishek Mangla and Navaneet Tivari the third prize at the local level.

Out of 21 boys of the our Student’s Home who appeared in IIT-JEE and AIEEE exams (April 2007) 9 have been selected in IITs. Two students have secured ranks under 100 and one, Sandeep Kumar 40th rank at the All India level out of 2.43 students who appeared in the exam. Sandip Kumar has also secured 2nd rank at the state level.
